How can I add an Item to my event booking

Accepted Answer

If you forget to do so during registration, or later change your mind, you can still purchase any merchandise/add-ons offered by the organiser of an event you have already booked.

Simply follow the link in your booking confirmation email to view/manage your entry, and select “Add Items to Booking” from the available options. You will then be taken to the the event merchandise page where you can add any items to your orders as necessary.

Creating a user account after registration

Accepted Answer

Creating a user profile allows you to manage all of your bookings in one place and take advantage of any other benefits offered by an organiser.

These can include loyalty points earned for entering an event, a record of your results, or credit earned through any referral scheme in place.

If you didn’t elect to create a user profile during registration for an event, you can do so by viewing your booking via the link in your confirmation email and click to Create Account where indicated. You will be asked to provide a password, and can then use the same login credentials to sign in to your profile with any organiser using the eventrac platform to host their events.

I purchased Refund Protect with my booking, how do I submit a claim?

Accepted Answer

If you purchased Refund Protection with your entry, your confirmation email will include your claim reference, and links to both the website through which you can submit a claim, and the Terms & Conditions you accepted during purchase that will be applicable to any such claim.

Refund Protect is a service offered by a third party provider. Neither the organiser of the event - nor eventrac as the software provider through which the purchase was made - have any influence over the subsequent outcome of any claim submitted to the provider. You must contact them directly via email reply to the initial confirmation you receive when first submitting a claim.

Refund protection is not applicable if the event is cancelled/postponed by the organiser. In this case you will need to contact them directly to discuss your original entry.

What is the Maratona Di Salemi?

The Maratona di Salemi is a 21.1 km run through the stunning Sicilian countryside. The course winds through the historic centre of Salemi, its narrow medieval streets, and the surrounding vineyards of the Belìce Valley. Along the way, you’ll find refreshment stations featuring local wines, regional foods, and live festivities.
While the event is timed, we encourage participants to run or walk and really enjoy the very best of Sicilian hospitality.

Maratona di Salemi will take place on the first weekend in October. October 2nd-4th. The weekend kicks off with traditional pasta dinner held in and around the old Norman castle The race itself will start on October 3rd in Piazza Alicia. Followed by the after party in Piazza Alicia.

Salemi is a picturesque mountain town in western Sicily, located about one hour southwest of Palermo, in the heart of the Belìce Valley.

Getting there:

Airports: Palermo (PMO) and Trapani (TPS)
Transport: Salemi can be reached by car, regional bus services, or pre-arranged transfers from either airport.

Accommodation:
Salemi offers a range of charming B&Bs, boutique stays, and agriturismi. Additional options are available in the nearby towns of Gibellina, Castelvetrano, and Marsala.

The final route is still being finalised. However, the course will highlight Salemi and its surrounding countryside, featuring a mix of road and off-road terrain, gentle undulating hills, vineyard paths, and a few short stair sections. Expect a scenic and varied run.

Maratona Di Salemi theme for 2026 is 'Stepping Through History'. We encourage you to dress up as a famous historical figure, cultural icon, or well-known character from any period in time.

Do I have to be an athlete to participate?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely not! Maratona Di Salemi is open to all abilities. The course is open for a maximum 4 hours. Don't worry if you don't make it all the way around the course though. The 'sweep bus' will collect you and bring you back to the Castle for the after party!

Can children enter?

As wine and other alcoholic beverages are served along the course children are prohibited from entering. You will be required to present photo ID at bib collection to verify your age.

Yes, we aim to provide options for guests who are gluten-free or vegan. However, the exact number of options may vary.
